Auto-generate builds a fair, balanced roster in one click, based on rules you set — not on AI or machine learning. It's straightforward, predictable logic, so the same inputs will always produce a similarly fair result.
What it takes into account
- Each staff member's target days off per week
- Your location's daily staffing target
- Spreading days off across different days, rather than clustering everyone's day off on the same day
- Your location's operating hours and closed days
What it doesn't do yet
- It doesn't yet account for individual staff availability preferences
- It uses one default shift template per run — it won't mix multiple shift types in a single generation
After generating
The result always lands as unpublished so you can review it first. Adjust anything you like — auto-generate gives you a strong starting point, not a locked-in final answer.
