How to Set Business Days & Operating Hours

Set which days and hours each of your locations is open, so your roster and auto-generate respect them automatically.

Setting your hours

For each location, choose which days you're open and what hours you operate. You can set the same hours for every open day, or set different hours per day if your business varies (for example, shorter hours on weekends).

"Open 24 hours"

If a location never closes, toggle this on instead of setting specific hours.

What this affects

Once your hours are set:

  • Closed days automatically grey out on the roster for that location — you can still override this if you genuinely need to schedule someone on a closed day, but it won't happen by accident.
  • Auto-generate will never schedule a shift outside your operating hours or on a closed day.
  • Coverage calculations exclude closed days entirely, so they never count against you.

New locations default to standard hours

If you don't set anything, a new location defaults to Monday–Sunday, 9am–5pm, so nothing breaks if you skip this step — you can always come back and adjust it.
