Using the RotaChief AI Assistant

What it does

The AI Assistant lets you ask questions about your team in plain English. It can explain schedules, answer questions about staffing, identify coverage gaps, and generate easy-to-understand summaries of your workforce data. It always works from your RotaChief data, helping you understand what's happening without replacing the scheduling logic.

Try asking things like:

• "Who's working today?"
• "Any coverage gaps this week?"
• "Who has the most days off?"

Why the numbers always match

The AI Assistant describes the same figures shown in your KPI cards and reports — it never calculates its own separate version. If a report says a day was a coverage Gap, the AI will describe it as a Gap too, not a different assessment of the same data.
